@paulox @simon not sure it's possible without a self-managed instance
@phosh I think android now uses the area also to show some minimal notifications (or the camera shape for indicating that is active), so could be more precise about the cuts shapes (E.g. rounded shapes) and allow to do something similar?

Someone somewhere said that they wouldn't believe the UNIX V4 recovery was real unless they saw video of the tape being read on an original drive.
So: here's the video of the tape being read on an original drive, last week.

Also can stay a bit longer in the area to catch the full solar eclipse!
If I understand this morning's news properly, we're invading Venezuela because they nationalized some American oil company's assets and gave it to Venezuelan companies. In unrelated news, America has nationalized TikTok and given it to American companies […]

Really like the new app store Bazaar for #GNOME, works great on mobile too :)
@SnoopJ no sadly the only thing would be adding some debug code and see what's happening... Using `G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=AppIndicator-and-KStatusNotifierItem-Support` may help to get more debug data, but I'm unsure if it would be helpful to understand the root cause
@SnoopJ Ah ok, reason why I wasn't aware of a proper "leak", memory hog could be a thing but mostly depending on applications themselves TBH.
The fact is the extension is basically just doing what the applications asks to (which is a weak point of the protocol more than anything).
On the […]
@SnoopJ there's no such know issue, if you have data to support what you say, please report it in a bug.

@pojntfx congrats, this is getting nice!
Wondering how much we could rely on go GC though rather than manual memory management
I suspect also https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/merge_requests/4010 has helped for some low level stuff
@trinux es un bug della app, claramente
Earlier this year, LWN.net featured an excellent article named "Linux's missing CRL infrastructure", and today I'm pleased to announce our plans to address that with a utility named 'upki'.
Canonical will be working with Dirkjan Ochtmann and Joe Birr-Pixton over the coming weeks to start […]
@cassidy I am actually more in your timezone anyways 🤣
New #gogettext (my #puregotk -based gettext bindings for Go) release! v0.2.0 now supports `BindI18n` and `dgettext` to allow scoping gettext translation domains in a more fine-grained way. This allows using two different translation domains in more complex scenarios, such as a Go GObject library […]

Big news today as we announce Architecture Variant support for #Ubuntu!
This change means as of today, users of 25.10 can get access to packages built specifically for amd64v3, with more packages and variants coming soon.
This sets the scene for some excellent performance improvements in […]
With some #wireplumber changes landing we're a big step closer to enabling separate volume controls for things like media, alerts, alarms, etc. in #Phosh. Here's a short overview on the current state: https://phosh.mobi/posts/role-based-routing/

Now is another great moment to ponder if making your business rely on Amazon is a great idea.
@bagder need to update the bio? 😂
