I have participated in Sex Worker Writes for a couple years, and find the writing group to be a lovely space to dedicate some time to my writing practice. Whether I'm already working on a piece, or brainstorming something new, the relaxed atmosphere of writing with others helps to hold me accountable to the writing practice. I really appreciate the group being by and for sex workers, because it allows us the opportunity to discuss our work, which may or may not be the topic of our writing, among our peers who have a shared experience.
