I really want to build this to be able to add data to HealthKit. Maybe it’d be better to keep things simple and just require HealthKit access. Thanks for the help!

I’m making a hydration tracker and I would like it to function whether Health access is granted or not. What’s the best practice here? Do I need to manage two data stores, HealthKit store and SwiftData? Or can I use HealthKit as a local storage that only syncs to the cloud when access is granted?
