She arrived at #Auschwitz on 6 February 1944 in a transport of 1,214 Jews deported from Drancy. She was among the 999 people murdered after selection in gas chambers.
On this day in 1943, a 97 year old Dutch Jewish woman arrived at the Sobibor extermination camp where she was murdered in the gas chamber. Her name was Jannetje Philipse-van Buren

How pathetic the UK has become.
Neither Spain nor France, nor any other "international law" aficionados have done anything over the years to protect Iranians from their oppressors.
Had France used its overwhelming military superiority against Germany in the thirties, today's France would have called it a breach of international law, too.
There are good reasons to question the wisdom of the Trump regime and Israel's current attack on Iran, but to allow the murderous Iranian gang the protection of international law is disgusting and baseless.
Those countries that now call the attack on Iran as illegal according to international law have all, at one time or another ignored it when it came to their interests.
The modern concept of international law may be wonderful in theory, but, in practice, it has been no more than an empty shell trampled on by every country as it saw fit.

3 March 1931 | German Jewish boy, Stefan Breslauer, was born in Leipzig.
He emigrated to the Netherlands in 1938. In September 1944 he was deported from #Westerbork to #Theresienstadt ghetto. On 19 October 1944 he was deported to #Auschwitz. He was murdered in a gas chamber.
