I have not spoken about Gaza in sometime but the Fifa video enraged me so much. Not just because it was A.I but because Palestinians lost their lives, their homes, their futures because these war criminal states wanted to build a resort or fifa academy or sports fields. When will this nightmare end?
This is a war that started on false pretenses and will cost us all dearly until we decide to stop it. I don't know how or when but this is a truly fucked moment in our lifetime.
If we take it from the human aspect, and I will refer to it as such. Innocent civilians are being killed for a war that never should have happened. Iran had made the best offer yet with their nuclear arsenal 2 days before but then the US and Israel bombed them because they wanted this. Interesting π€
If we take the economic argument which seems to be the one that capitalist seem to support - oil prices increasing affects every industry and is felt globally. Why arent we stopping it? Why are we assisting the warlords? No one asked for this, no one wanted this but its happening...
Okay, what the hell is the rest of the world doing??? I know that the US is a super power and we are all scared to stop them, but they are just attacking countries now with no restrictions and all of us are affected. Like when do we decide to intervene?
How is this the timeline we exist in? What the actual fuck is going on, and how are we stopping it???
I mean no disrespect to the team who works day and night making the game run. Art, Design, Narrative, Sound etc. This is a leadership problem and accountability is needed here.
In summary, I'm just sad about this game. It has some serious challenges ahead, and I really hope that it can survive this. We want to see it succeed and be that space again for new lights and old veteran players. But it's going to take a lot for the community to trust again.
To put that into perspective, for The Final Shape it was 123,000 but has since been on the decline with each update/expansion. The delay of this next update/expansion to July is going to need some serious community discussions about the future of this game like Luke Smith and Joe Blackburn both did.
Players will play the game if it is fun, the loot is fair and worth the effort. All of these decisions makes the game feel directionless like we have no path forward.
We know the name of two expansions but I don't know if the game can survive at the current levels of players with is 11,526..
I heard this the other day, and it is that Bungie is trying to keep people playing by making it harder to farm loot by lowering the frequency of drops or that the rolls on it are terrible. That shows to me that you don't respect the time of the players and it actively hurts the relationship.
The game is just boring for this exact reason. We used to have weekly story bits in the seasonal model, but now we have nothing. We finish the campaign and then that is it. We then have 6 months of just running solo ops, and doing challenges. That will not keep the game alive.
Asking questions like who is the Nine, why is the Witness talked about in the opening sequence but not actually around in the gameplay. The story is what connects the player to the world, as well as game. If that isn't happening then we got a problem.
I'm very sad about the state of Destiny 2. I was watching a video the other day of a new player trying the game out without any guides etc. They loved the action and gunplay in the game and rightly so, but they had no connection to the story. Nothing made sense to them.
The United States is a rogue actor throwing the world into disarray. It hosts war criminal Netanyahu, sanctions ICC and European officials, launches strikes around the world, and now kidnaps foreign leaders.

Some theories were ludacris and would have been cool if they had another season or more episodes but they have 2 hours to wrap up everything and settle the story plot points to satisfy the audience that has followed it for 10 years.
I'm sorry to all those who came up with fan theories and such but you aren't the writers of the show. You have to accept that this is the story they wanted to tell. You can write fan fic or do edits but this is the story completed.

The finale of stranger things felt like the same mystery, fun, and energy of Season 1. The ending I believe stuck the landing, and was satisfying after the mess with Vol 2. I think the theories others had were interesting, but also they weren't the essence of ST.

I'm losing it with the censorship and authoritarianism that is actively happening in the US. I watched the movie 'Civil War' just after the election last year, and it seriously had me concerned about the future watching a story in fiction. But this isn't fiction anymore.
