As an Australian, I was crying happy tears when I found out Dutton not only lost the election but also lost his seat. Iβm glad we stood together to protect our rights.

The fact that Australia worked together to keep Dutton from becoming PM but also enough to make him LOSE HIS SEAT πβ€οΈ

Firstly I donβt use those words to describe people because theyβre ableist and discriminatory. Secondly, thereβs a great moral divide on what he did so donβt be too quick to judge, especially because you donβt know me at all.

I got asked today if Iβll still have an anaphylactic reaction if itβs on Christmas Day. Yes. I will have to call an ambulance, spend Christmas in hospital and potentially die. I donβt get to choose when Iβm anaphylactic π
Purely talking about the look heβs given.
And Iβm Emma!
Heβs giving βdaddy is a state of mindβ π
Iβd be more concerned if it said the sims, we all know about removing the pool ladders π
This 100000%! Iβm privileged enough that Iβm able to share my diagnosis but itβs incredibly concerning that so many people donβt understand how harmful it is in countries who donβt have the same disability discrimination laws. Itβs not an exaggeration to say it could be a death sentence.
3/ But the most concerning thing is schools who boast about inclusivity when there are educators actively discriminating against these students. The answer is mandatory and funded professional development.
2/I want to point out, there are some absolutely incredible schools who support disabled students in the way they deserve and the way theyβre entitled to under education and disability law. This support removes barriers.
1/ We need better laws around supporting disabled students in schools. Yes, thereβs disability inclusion profiles, bsps and ieps, but, itβs often on the parents to relentlessly advocate for these supports to be created and them actually being used consistently requires more advocating.
And yet these are the same people that complain about autistic kids meltdowns being too noisy.
