I've always loved getting to open this issue and see so many brilliant photographers' work. It is an honor for my pictures to be part of this ANTIGRAVITY tradition. I took both of these photos on a cheap film point-and-shoot camera that I found at a thrift store in Osaka.

Yesterday, I made it out to Jazz Fest ! I caught Meters guitarist Leo Nocentelli, Cheap Trick, and a bit of Buckwheat Zydeco Jr.
The Sendai scene is small but has a great community feel to it. Birdland was my main hub. Bar Take, Flying Son, and the Enn clubs also get some stuff. Band wise, I consider Spike Shoes to be one of the most criminally underrated bands in Japanese punk. youtu.be/d6BOw_R6EYw?...

Last month, Osaka University awarded me a master's degree in musicology for my research on musical connections between New Orleans and Japan!
