These people are really playing “if a tree falls in a forest” games with our humanity!!!

Here, multiple teammates heard a player from Argentina call a Real Madrid player originally from Brazil a monkey, yet referee claimed he didn't hear. Cameras show him hiding his mouth.
Sentiment laundering:
"Benfica players said Prestianni said he provoked Vinícius but never used a racist insult."
The more we learn about this situation, the worse it gets.
Thanks for sharing! This is still a very fuzzy thought in my head so I welcome any comments/limitations etc.
Is it still racist if it was inaudible?
The BBC was one step away from making this their entire defence. In this post I think aloud and try to give a name to something that, for Black people, is exhaustingly familiar.

Thanks! I hope I haven’t shocked her too much. I have so many plant chores pending…
A day of plant chores, here is Big Greenie after chopping off her bottom part.
I offer a Black feminist perspective on why the banned TFL advert was doomed from the start.

My sister who is also watching #LoveIsBlind without the screen being visible remembers Meg. I may also have made up someone called Brad because he is not on my sister’s list.
So I am on Ep2 of our “blind watch” of #LoveIsBlind season 8. My biggest takeaway is that there is a woman called Meg and I am so confused because her voice sounds familiar but I don’t remember hearing her name before. This means at some point I have mixed up some contestants!
Please let me know how it goes
My focus has been trying to remember who is who. My sister has been trying to predict what they look like.
Dave just outright said he is a white man. Lauren talked about her spray tan making her orange.
We are agreed that Dave is nothing but red flags. It is also really interesting how contestants communicate racial identity clues. Black people will be more creative/referencing cultural signifiers like food. White contestants are less subtle.
My sister and I have decided to watch this season’s Love is Blind without seeing who the contestants are. I have dimmed my laptop all the way down so my screen is black. My sister put a blanket over her TV. We are one and half episodes in and we are sharing our notes.
We need to regulate the sale of microphones. Maybe a theory and practical test before you can purchase, own or use a microphone.
Because right now Black people in the UK are catching strays because one person decided to share their asinine views on Kendrick’s performance.
This gunk game is anti-Black #TheTraitorsUK.
Linda ran to tell her BFF Lisa that she was “livid” that Fozia questioned Linda and Lisa’s decision to go first and potentially secure a shield.
It is interesting that Linda didn’t have the same energy for Jake who has repeatedly and explicitly called her a traitor. To. Her. Face.
I almost forgot about Linda’s reaction to Fozia. Obviously the #TraitorsUK is not a team sport sp neither Linda nor Lisa owe anyone an explanation BUT Fozia is equally entitled to question what she perceived as selfishness and potential traitor-like behaviour.
But my word Linda really overreacted.
He immediately wanted to have a conversation with Freddie to reassure him as opposed to challenging him. Every other Clique member did the exact opposite.
Freddie then had to spend his time not only justifying his position but also worrying about Livi’s hurt feelings. Who by the way gave a masterclass in white woman victimhood (esp at the round table).
What was interesting to me was Leon’s reaction. He is the only Black person in the Clique.
all hell broke loose. Every single member of that alliance took offence. Never mind that they had repeatedly accused Freddie of being a traitor. Which in the context of the game is far more harmful than saying certain people belong to an alliance.
The person who was the initial victim of racism has to switch up and console the offender who has now taken on the role of victim.
This is exactly how CliqueGate played out yesterday on #TheTraitorsUK. Freddie justifiably, felt like he was being picked on by a group of people but when he said so
CliqueGate on #TheTraitorsUK reminded me of how some people react when you point out their racist behaviour. They become more concerned with the often valid accusation of racism instead of addressing the initial issue. This results in a reversal of roles.
Yes that toast really upset some people. Which is wild because after they banished a traitor Kyle (the one with curtains hairstyle) gave a toast.
We all take our biases and prejudices with us everywhere we go. The contestants on this show are no different.
After yesterday’s episode of #TheTraitorsUK it is clear that some of the contestants wanted to punish Kas for being an intelligent and kind non-white doctor.
There was an air of wanting the “bring him down a peg or two”
And Kas 100% clocked that BS.
And I am being deliberately vague when I say “someone” because the racial and gender identity of the person who started the discussion is now a central theme.
Folks are debating whether biracial people with white mothers and Black fathers can claim
Blackness.
Someone got on TikTok and labelled #BeyonceBowl American propaganda. TWO WEEKS later and the discourse is still ongoing. It has taken both predictable and unexpected turns. Online friendships have been severed.
Have folks forgotten bell hooks called Bey a terrorist and the world didn’t end?
