A group of West Duluth residents are holding a neighborhood sign holding protest against ICE. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Feel free to make and bring your own sign, though the organizer will have some extra signs on hand as well.

a statement by Tempest on the demotion of Bovino and the need to keep the pressure on to defeat ICE:
Ivan, a long-time UFCW Local 663 grocery worker from Jerry's Foods in Edina, was abducted by ICE as he was walking into work. We are raising $ for legal counsel and other expenses for his family as they deal with this travesty.

How lucky am I? Here is an example of the kind of cool art work I get to see when I come in to work at the United Steelworkers Local 9460 office! When Eva, the daughter of our Financial Secretary, comes to visit, she leaves these awesome creations to brighten our day!

With the federal funding for food stamps running out at the end of the month, lots of folks are scrambling to find other resources. Here is a directory that was put together for NE Minnesota. I'm working on finding something similar for NW Wisconsin.
Spread the word! A group of students from Harbor City are planning a walk out at 12:15, followed by a rally at 12:30 against the sale of MN Power to BlackRock. They are invited the community to join them. Lets stand with the students, and raise our voices against this corporate sell out!
Yesterday was Duluth's 10th annual remembrance event for Sheila St. Clair's disappearance. These photos are by Brandon Blue. Shout out to Shawn Carr for keeping the memory of Sheila alive, as well as to Rene Ann Goodrich and all of the other organizers.
The strike is over! The University has come back to the table and made an offer that was acceptable to the union's Negotiating Committee. As a result a Tentative Agreement has been signed, and the membership will now vote on whether to accept or reject it. We'll keep you posted!
Thank you to everyone who turned out yesterday for the "Feed Gaza Now!" highway banner protest. It was a cold and rainy, but that didn't stop these folks from raising their voices against the ongoing atrocities being committed by the Israeli military in Gaza. #feedgazanow
We are happy to announce that Oasis Del Norte and Positively 3rd Street Bakery in Duluth have both signed on to the "No Appetite for Apartheid" campaign, which urges stores and restaurants to stop selling Israeli products and to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine!
