Beautiful! U love the sepia tint! Gives me both a sense of calm and a bit of a sense of storm coming as to me changes in colors of the sky prepare storms. So maybe a breath before storm?

In the processing, I chose the black and white as I sat with the image to show the textures. Make them speak more. I am so moved for how they spoke to you!

"After the rain" is a metaphor for resilience but also the need for endurance. This waterfall is usually a trickle. The rain has passed, buth the deluge continues, for awhile. We recover as we let it pass.

The decision to use a longer exposure or a fast? Well, I did both. Sometime I like the frozen moment, the shapes and textures that will never occur again, but this time I felt it conveyed the "after the rain" thought better.

At the time I had to handle how the view has overgrow. And decided to use it as layers. Also, I love the broken texture of limestone. Both rough and porous like life.
