I was quite young when the first Star Trek series aired in the UK. It has been disappointing that the kind of enlightened future it and other predictions of that era suggested we might enjoy has not transpired. We seem rather to be regressing. That is continually disappointing.

@denverpost.com CO setting a "Green Energy" example. I've wondered why PV systems on every south-facing roof in the state have not been encouraged. I'd expect the state could supply it's own electricity needs, and produce an exportable surplus.
