To be clear, running the most ethical plagiarism machine does not make you good, you don't gotta hand it to them, etc., but this is the best thing they can do for their business. The tide is turning against the fascists and they're probably correctly betting on their downfall.

Border Patrol is operating as bounty hunters.

Agents are apparently getting paid for each person they put in detention. Even if those people are grandmothers traveling on valid tourist visas.

The conclusions about student cognition aren’t the interesting part for me so much as the money being spent on youth surveillance that isn’t leading to better learning outcomes. Teachers are being laid off, schools & libraries are closing, books are being banned.

A lot of people, including me, were wondering how an IRB could ever approve this study.

The answer is that no IRB did. The person who “signed off” on approval from the only ethics board that reviewed it had resigned three years earlier. His signature was used without his knowledge.

An ICE agent shot and killed Ruben Ray Martinez, a US citizen and San Antonio resident, in March 2025. Then ICE and the Texas Department of Public Safety covered it up. He was 23 years old. I am calling for a full investigation into this shooting, including why there was an 8-month cover up.

This entire decision is worth a read.

Based on what I've heard at the Otay Mesa camp in San Diego, they're punished with additional work duties, aren't allowed outside in the yard, and denied phone access.

The 2-month-old baby in ICE detention was so sick he was hospitalized and unresponsive last night. Despite that, today, he and his entire family were deported. Now we don’t know where they are or if the baby is receiving healthcare.

I spent my childhood inside of American concentration camps. I know one when I see one. And that is what ICE is building.
