super nice episode, thanks for that! The project I am working on (openperouter.github.io) seems relevant for the kubernetes integration part :P

Build your first Kubernetes controller β in under 3 hours!
Hands-on workshop with @fedepaol.bsky.social & F. Romani: write, deploy, and test a real controller with custom APIs and best practices.
βοΈ Write Your First Kubernetes Controller
#golang #golab2025
Check the last thing I worked on! I released the first iteration of OpenPERouter, a kubernetes component that mimics a PE Router allowing you to define EVPN tunnels up to the kubernetes node. It integrates with Calico, MetalLB and any bgp speaking component!

Just don't give up! I use a cantor and I remember the first period being terrible!
Also, reminder that if your organization is using it, the project would benefit from having it under adopters: github.com/metallb/meta...
A new MetalLB version is out, packed with new features, bug fixes (and new bugs)! metallb.io/release-notes/
Unnumbered BGP, BGP advertisement status, AddressPool status and much more!
Grab it while it's hot!
Around Florence? Interested in Go? Next Wednsday I'll be a guest of the @golab.io organizers and will host a workshop about Go testing with my colleague Francesco Romani! www.meetup.com/develer-meet...
On my way to #kubecon!
We are trying to put together a list of MetalLB adopters. If your organization or your product is using MetalLB in a way or another, please file a PR! It would help a project you are using :-)

Interested in talking about MetalLB and networking? Want some stickers? Don't be shy and come find me at Kubecon London!
I'll be staffing the MetalLB kiosk in the projects area on the morning of Wednesday, 2 April
This is all too common - www.theregister.com/2025/02/16/o... It's not new at all. cc @dims.dev
Was great! Demo worked, so what else should one ask for :p?
From the @fosdem.bsky.social stage with @fedepaol.bsky.social and his deep dives into EVPN and k8s.
How was it, Federico?
MetalLB in the containers devroom at #fosdem :-)
Super interesting talk about swissmaps internals at #fosdem #golang by @bboreham.bsky.social
State of go in go devroom at #fosdem
So who's at #fosdem?
Two days until fosdem, where I'll talk about VXLan, EVPN, Kubernetes, and a lot of other things I have no clue about!
it was a nice refresher!
and if you want to refresh your memory (or learn about) EVPN, @artofneteng.bsky.social's last episode with @aninchat.bsky.social is really cool!
My favorite conference is about to come! I'll talk in the FOSDEM network devroom about how to leverage kind and containerlab to have a full evpn enabled topology in your laptop (and maybe a bit more than that - wink wink)! fosdem.org/2025/schedul...
Yet another post of my EVPN tinkering series, where now I provide EVPN termination to a Kind node attached to a ContainerLab topology by running FRR and other containers as Podman Systemd units (inside Kind!!!). fedepaol.github.io/blog/2025/01...
Kids asleep. Santa mode is ON π
Fosdem!
congrats!
Today I played "let's release a new MetalLB when all github is all about unicorns (but no rainbows)"
The recording of the "Beyond Table Tests" talk I gave @golab.io is now available on youtube! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z85A...
if it can fix my yamls I am sold!
The slides (and the material) of the "Go testing bootcamp" workshop me and Francesco Romani gave @golab.io are available at github.com/gotestbootca...
