REALLY impressive warm front lying across the Midwest and lower Great Lakes this afternoon, temperatures in the 70s and dewpoints in the 60s south of it, while flow off Lake Michigan has temps near the lakes in the lower 40s. Position of front will play key role in areas most under severe wx risk.

With MRMS rotation tracks we can very clearly see the path of the low level rotation associated with the intense tornado that impacted areas just south of Kankakee and then moved across the IN border. Looks like initial rotation may have turned N and new circ formed as the storm was crossing I-65.

Really excited to have found these Ordoviciam trilobites in the Anti-Atlas, Morocco.
One is extremely tiny, but both specimens preserve clear eye detail, which always makes a find special. The small one may be a juvenile calymenid-type trilobite.

I very frustratingly missed the forsters tern in Poole Park this afternoon. Some other birds showed themselves very well. It’s only after looking at the photo that I’ve noticed the merganser appears to have fishing line caught in its bill. #Birds #DorsetBirds #WildlifePhotography #UKWildlife
