buttermilk brined fried chicken thighs with a masala crust, fries, green beans, masala garlic cream stock reduction sauce. had acid ted here for dinner π«‘
every morning my cats pretend they haven't been fed by whomsoever got out of bed first. they scamper down the stairs ahead of you in pure expectation. realisation slowly dawns as i notice two bowls already in the sink. 'grrrr! you've done it again, you furry swine.'
the current fave is a ginger, garlic, honey, soy combo but steering more in a Thai direction. my faces are plain but buttermilk brined with that pressure cooker chicken jus. literal nectar. matches well with crispy fries and green beans.
gonna dust these fells with a masala mix and serving with a pile of French fries and a mixed green salad. totally glowing from a 90 minute schvitz and dunk at Hackney Wick π₯΅π₯Άπ
i'm going to turn into a chicken wing etc. tbh i love them. succulent with a nice crunch and you can take the flavours wherever you like. made a sort of chat masala hybrid as last time i didn't use enough and the heat diminished what i added. shall report back, chum.
chicken wings <yes, again> dusting with a masala spice mix to jazz them up. french fries <in the oven> and a big mixed green salad with some walnuts. had a blissful sauna/ice bath session with lizzy this afternoon. i feel completely stoned which is lovely. now for some munch.
as featured inside the gatefold of led zeppelin's seminal 'houses of the holy' with the main cover being shot on the giant's causeway.
sorry, doing a shoulder work out and then a sauna but will leave you with deepstate 2 'get down'. think this was danny tenaglia's second release. i prefer this breaks mix as it's a great first record: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_sh...
tyree and fast eddie doing a hip house revue at a storm rave, december 1989, is up there with the cramps as my best ever live show. phenomenal performances without losing a single soldier on that dance floor.
my first year without world book day wardrobe panic in a decade. i salute you and all those who serve π
hip house is the best house.
it was ever thus.
forgot to photograph tonightβs bean casserole so hereβs a plate shot of last nights chops and sausages π
'i wouldn't touch it with a shitty stick' is one that's always left me perplexed. which 'shitty stick'? why would anyone have a 'shitty stick'? what are 'shitty sticks' used for touching specifically?
thanks, eric. necessity the mother of invention. original plan was to do the sausages with fried eggs and french fries but glad i upped the specifications. went down very well with my boys.
You love your malts π
thank you, andrew π
thanks, mate π
we honour the fallen chez hass.
thanks, dave. a midweek special π
ππ
hard to beat in the value steaks, right? i remember when M&S did two for Β£3. glad i hammered them so hard in that era.
from M&S. deliciously sweet.
chops had lovely crisp fat but still pink and moist in the middle.
I had a bowl of yoghurt, seeds, nuts, berries for brunch. thatβs it today <may sneak some chocolate watching the football>
pork chops in a creamy boozy mustard sauce with calabrian sausages, wee spuds and cabbage.
very much enjoyed cleaning that pan with the potatoes π
pork chops in a bootlegged sauce of vermouth, garlic, smoked paprika, fennel seeds, mustard, stock, double cream. served with wee spurs and cabbage. a midweek knockout ππ₯
and the rest. wanker.
