Call us Loc Necromancers, the way we brought TEP* back from the land of the dead.
*That's Translation, bilingual Editing, monolingual Proofreading. And, of course, LQA.

kill the imposter syndrome in you head because not only is there someone out there doing it worse than you, they're also using chat gpt to do it
Anyways.
From God of War (2018). Think of how many opportunities they had to fix the credits to include actual people over the last 8 years. And yet, to this day, translators are still not included. #TranslatorsInTheCredits
I had to go check SteamDB because I couldn't believe this was real. So sad. Does the game feature the infamous "Sony would like to thank all translators who made the game possible" note?

Lego Horizon Adventures, developed by Guerrilla and Sony, and translated into 25 languages does NOT feature any #TranslatorsInTheCredits.
Con el pulgar.
Solo-dev AnaΓ―s Salla has launched Nom Nom: Cozy Forest CafΓ©, with LocQuest taking care of the localization.
Nom Nom: Cozy Forest CafΓ© is now LIVE, localized into three languages by the folks here at LocQuest. LocQuest localized the game into French, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
A quote from AnaΓ―s Salla, developer of Nom Nom: Cozy Forest CafΓ©: βAfter seeing LocQuest's localization work on games I played and enjoyed, I knew I wanted to work with them. They were very easy to work with and did a wonderful job on my game. I highly recommend LocQuest and hope to collaborate with them on future projects.β
The names and roles of all the localization managers, translators, and LQA specialists involved in localizing the game.
π¨Β Flagged for overwhelming cuteness.
Nom Nom: Cozy Forest CafΓ© is a cozy and relaxing decoration and rhythm game where you manage a cafΓ© and befriend cute animals.
LocQuest partnered with solo dev @anaiis.bsky.social for an ethical localization that is β¨soβ¨Β kawaii.

Please don't disrespect AI Pacino, he was great in The Slopfather.
It's been almost a year since I finally saw TWDY live, so now is a good time to listen to them non-stop.
Wtf, that's crazy. I didn't know about those secret languages. I thought the in-game manual was genius, but this is on another level. No wonder Billy Basso payed homage to Tunic in Animal Well and mentioned it as an inspiration for the game.
My GOTY list (games I loved this year, not necessarily released in 2025):
1. Expedition 33
2. Tunic
3. Silksong
4. Balatro
5. Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
More people should play Tunic. π¦π€
I am so honored to work with translation studios that see translation as a craft. I truly hope I can collaborate with them for many years to come, localizing games the right way.
Long live professional human translation, in video games and every other field.
I used an ugly topsters template to showcase the games I've worked on that were released this year.
Yup, graphic design is not my passion.
But translation is. I worked really hard this year, and I'm proud to have been part of these projects (some were actually translated last year, of course).

Por eso mismo me cuesta mucho jugar a juegos en los que trabajΓ©. Termino haciendo LQA mΓ‘s que jugando y no puedo disfrutarlo. π«

Working on a game made with such passion is what all translators hope for. And that passion is evident not only in the end product, but also in all the materials we received, the constant access to the narrative team at Sandfall, and the warmth of everyone involved in this title.
See you in Lumière!
I've had the massive privilege of working on the localization of this masterpiece alongside @facugrassano.bsky.social and @captnjay.bsky.social. As expected, they both did a stellar job and made sure my work as a reviewer was smooth sailing. Thanks again @riotloc.bsky.social for your trust in us. π€
Poster for Clair Obscure: Expedition 33.
Tomorrow has come. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available in Latin American Spanish!
Last night, during the Game Awards ceremony, Sandfall dropped patch 1.5, which brings new content, a Photo Mode, and most importantly (to me, at least), new languages, including Latam Spanish!
Seriously, localization teams going from actively barred from appearing in credits to being thanked during the biggest show of the year... It means the world, and shows how much we've grown as an industry.
Un immense merci Γ Guillaume et Jennifer !
El CEO de Palantir ha esnifado tanto que ya podemos llamarle Saruman el Blanco.
I can finally say I've been part of this amazing team.
We poured our hearts and souls into this one, so hopefully it shows when you play it!
Thank you @locquest.bsky.social for bringing me onboard for this madness of a project.
A screenshot of a Balatro run showing that I won on the Gold Stake difficulty.
Finally won a run on the Gold Stake difficulty! I now consider myself free from the Joker's clutches.
Β‘Ganaste!
This is so beautiful. π
Games I wanna play after I'm done with Silksong:
- Blue Prince
- No, I'm not a Human
- Hades (finally)
Who am I kidding I know I'm just going to put another 100 hours into Balatro.
