For a laugh, I did use Copilot to ask how to disable it on Mac, and then it scolded me about my tone when I said it was a stupid feature
Microsoft is so desperate for Copilot adoption that they’ve added a floating icon that covers part of the spreadsheet in Excel, and the only way to disable it is to run a VBA macro every time you open a file.
