Today’s announcement of ICE retreating is because we never stopped showing up for each other. We stood on corners and outside of schools in sub-zero temperatures, we gave rides, raised money, and showed the world that ICE is not welcome in Mpls or MN. But this fight is far from over…

Our public schools are where we come together to pour into each other & future generations. Every day I see people working collectively to create new possibilities in MPS. This moment has tangibly shown how foundational public schools are to our community & that is why I’m running for school board.

Spent last night amongst neighbors at precinct caucuses. Minneapolis showed up to voice our opposition to ICE, our support for our immigrant communities, and to go on to conventions to win the leadership we all deserve: for our state, and for Minneapolis Public Schools
