This year homelessness has increased and families in some temporary accommodation cannot cook a proper meal and children are suffering rickets in a G7 country.

A brilliant couple of days with CEO’s and leaders across the homeless sector at the @homelesslink.bsky.social Leadership Summit. Connection, insight and shared ideas and at the Annual Members Meeting it was confirmed I’ve been voted on to join the Board. Then a 4 hour crawl up the M6!

I’m looking forward to the @homelesslink.bsky.social leadership summit tomorrow. It’s always reassuring and weirdly helpful to be alongside others in the same boat in the same storm finding a way through together

Today is our Well Placed meeting, bringing together third sector leaders across Liverpool. On the agenda today will be the NI changes and the impact on our ability to deliver services to the people we work alongside. It’s a false economy & could be catastrophic to our communities

Really insightful conversation at the Centre for Population Health conference in Bradford. We can only tackle health inequalities if we work together, across our systems, involving our communities. Conversation & collaboration not competition #cphconf2024

In 1948 the principles of the NHS were simple. Make sure it has enough money and staff to meet the needs of the population, who all get equal access to top quality healthcare, protecting it from private sector motives.

Those principles remain true today.

We must stand together to save our NHS 💙

Looking forward to the Centre for Population Health conference on Wednesday. I’ll be talking about the work of the third sector and health inequalities faced by people experiencing homelessness. We must do better, prevention is key.
