I sent my agent a new MS, a SHORT contemporary MG with autumnal vibes.🍂🍁 I drafted it last year in The Short Novel, an incredible @whalerockworkshops.bsky.social workshop, and I revised it this fall & winter. I'm super excited about this project, and I can hardly wait to go on sub with it!

I'm finally reading Wuthering Heights. It's been on my to-be-read list for years. I'm not sure I'm going to see the movie, but the movie gave me that final nudge; I want to read the book before seeing the film, and I need to be ready.😂

I can't stress this enough. Being a great writer requires you being an enthusiastic reader. Read in your genre and out of it. (Yeah, even those kinds of books you swear aren't for you occassionally. You might be surprised.) Devour as much as you can.
For lunch, I gave my dogs Green Bean Surprise.
Here's the recipe:
1. Lie three green beans at the bottom of a dog dish.
2. Cover in kibble.
3. When they reach the beans, say, "Surprise!"
