I don’t want to minimize real opinions that get mixed in, but I knew immediately that divisive astroturfing was going to be all over this primary. This was like chummed waters. There’s no shortage of dubious accounts trying to shape a narrative or push people apart.

There seemed to be a big variety of people willing to welcome that into the broad coalition trying to fight fascism & make a positive difference. Since the primary, I’ve suddenly started seeing a bunch of wild claims, which I don’t understand how anyone gleaned from any of his interviews or speeches

I remember when I first heard of Talarico back when he walked out with other TX Dems to delay the Republican gerrymandering effort. People seemed to find it refreshing that a Christian was reclaiming religion from MAGA and using it to advocate for progressive values and separation of church & state.

The bombing of Iranian children is an unforgivable crime
America has blood on its hands.
New in PN: The bombing of Iranian children is an unforgivable crime
"American disinterest in the lives of people abroad is a resource politicians use to justify cynical wars. It's hard to see on what moral grounds we claim a right to decide the fate of those about whom we clearly care so little."

Key Details of 13-Year-Old Trump Accuser’s Accounts Are Verified
The newly corroborated details suggest the woman was truthful about numerous aspects of her life.
There is apparently credible evidence that the president of the United States is a pedophile. The comforting phrase “accused him without evidence” no longer fits this situation, and journalists must resort to the more perfunctory “hasn’t been formally charged.” www.thedailybeast.com/key-details-...

Don’t let Fox get away with it this time. Spread the word.
Fox & Friends Weekend replaced footage of Trump attending yesterday’s dignified transfer with a clip from 2025.
They clearly didn’t want their audience to see him disrespecting fallen soldiers wearing a baseball cap.

Fuzzy memories and hard facts: An SC accuser's claims against Epstein, Trump examined
An alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein gave FBI agents true accounts of her time growing up in SC. Claims she made about Donald Trump remain unsubstantiated.
"A woman who claims she was abused as a minor by both Epstein and Trump has given the FBI vivid accounts that include aspects of her life corroborated by the The Post and Courier through public records ... she claimed Trump forced her to commit a sex act on him sometime around 1984."

And it won’t work bc we’ve had elections through wars, we had elections after 911, and if there was some kind of attack on the US, that would only make us more motivated to exercise our freedoms and double down on participating in our democracy. Not hell nor high water will make me give up my rights

AI error or not, Iran school bombing is a permanent stain on America’s soul | Will Bunch
A debate on AI in warfare obscures the truth about an Iran school bombing. U.S. humans are to blame for this war crime.
They had names. They had beautiful faces. And they had the same dreams as your kids - crushed when American "precision" bombs slammed into their Minab elementary school, killing 175
Don't blame AI for this. Blame the sick humans who see war as a game

USUALLY presidents getting blame or taking credit for gas prices (or local crime rates, or etc etc) is dumb, because it’s a commodity whose price is set on a global market, USUALLY for reasons having little to do with the White House’s occupant. But this is 100% directly Trump’s fault.

“That vote will be cast as”
Who’s doing the casting? Hey, Mr “Journalist” who speaks to an audience of 1000s, do you think you have some agency and impact on how events are “cast”? Do you think you have some ethical responsibility as a “news” program to set the record straight, rather than sanewash?

Caitlin KALINOWSKI over X
I resigned from OpenAl. I care deeply about the Robotics team and the work we built together.
This wasn't an easy call. Al has an important role in national security. But surveillance of Americans without judicial oversight and lethal autonomy without human authorization are lines that deserved more deliberation than they got. This was about principle, not people. I have deep respect for Sam and the team, and I'm proud of what we built together.
OpenAI head of robotics just resigned over company deal with the Pentagon saying…

It could not be more obvious that the president does not care about US service members and in fact regards their deaths as mere political inconveniences. He has more sympathy for Putin than Americans who died because he decided to wage illegal war. Just listen to him.

They've now killed four people -- three U.S. citizens and a Mexican national. They've shot several more.
They've lied about all of them. They haven't shaded the truth. They haven't "misled" us. They've brazenly, knowingly lied while in possession of the evidence disproving their lies.

Ruben Ray Martinez: Footage shows US citizen shot by ICE agent in Texas traffic stop
The Department of Homeland Security did not disclose Martinez was shot by one of its agents until almost a year later.
Newly released footage shows an ICE agent killing Rubin Ray Martinez, 23, in his car in Texas.
"He was shot at point-blank range through his side window by an ICE agent who was in no danger."

Pete Hegseth's murderous buffoonery, coming amid a lifetime in which he's betrayed everyone close to him and failed up from one disaster to the next, is a perfect example of how the appeal of Trumpism is that it creates a permission structure for people to openly be their worst selves

The public image of the Republican Party is genuinely just feral, gleeful sociopathy at this point. It’s not a behavior or mindset that is capable of leading a lasting, stable society.
It’s just chaotic, impulsive, childishness combined with enthusiasm for killing people. Completely uncivilized.

CBS obtained video of the DHS killing of an unarmed man in Texas that DHS concealed for nearly a year, which clearly contradicts claims that he violently rammed anyone. He is shot with his brake lights on, car not moving or barely moving. Another DHS crime.

We can throw another $500,000,000,000 at the Pentagon this year and spend $1,000,000,000/day on a wholly useless war, but we can't afford to hire doctors and nurses to take care of our veterans? The United States is such an irresponsible, messed up country right now.
