Both, fortunately/unfortunately! I love humorous character-driven stories but some ideas just come out more lyrically. And then I have some NF things to play with too.
Working on a number of them, querying with a few, and exploring new ideas too! Picture books are such a fun challenge.

Wow! Fantastic! Parks vacations are the greatest! Our kids look back on the 3,000-mile National Park trips (US and Canada) as among our best decisions. Writing will bounce back, and routines may be overrated. :)
