Honestly I think there's a great story here just grabbing from Petty's life, the fact his father Lee was a pioneering champion, his rivalries with the likes of Pearson and Yarlborough, the death of his grandson Adam, just a lot of juicy material to build a movie with
Only question is who'd voice him? Richard Petty's not getting any younger and he certainly couldn't sound like his youthful self.
