You shake yourself free of the swirls returning, stronger than before, to your vision.
But it’s still early.
Why don’t you go back to sleep?
You dream at an inn that night and…
You’re back in front of the boss. Looking at its tummy. Shining brightly. You dont notice your mouth is hanging open slightly and your eyelids growing heavier.
Your chin is propped up by a soft, soft paw.
Your mouth is…filled. You suckle. Your eyes close and—
Other plushies.
Smaller ones that gave you no trouble on your way inside, but now the way they cling to you. Press their soft muzzles against your cheeks and face.
You find it’s so much harder to bat them away.
But you escape. Fuzzy headed and with an undeniable urge to keep…turning…around.
You look away, again. Only able to just turn your head away.
The colors linger in your vision still, and you just can’t seem to shake them away.
You ‘run’. More like stumble backwards, and realize you aren’t being chased.
You fall to your knees, still crawling away. Safe. For now.
But still…
You can’t stop yourself looking back.
Staring into that soft dragon’s silly tummy, shining so many pretty colors.
Feeling your feet scoot a bit forward. Trying to grit your teeth as you begin feeling that rainbow gently coating your thoughts.
Your words jumble. Take longer to reach your mouth.
Did you think that looking away from the funny spiral on that plushy boss would help you?
You can still see the faintest hint of swirls on the corner of your eyes. Your head slowly coming to a comfortable rest straight ahead.
Your body didn’t move that much. Because you don’t want to look away.
All this free time, why not make the most of it with a game?
