I feel like “the exterminating angel” is also an excellent choice for staging with muppets lol

Schnittke’s concerto grosso no. 1 is also so very, very good
That’s really beautiful. I love the layering of melody and countermelodies, and the textures you create with the staccato accompaniment. Gorgeous
So much this! I’m tired of trying to compose string quartets during lunch.
It’s very moving to have a work included in a program if this nature. “Symmetry” brings order to chaos and peaceful relation to dissonance, a reminder of the optimism, hope, and connectedness found in the arts.
That was beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
I’m so disappointed in Google! And their products are so enmeshed in my work flow…. This is going to be a difficult process. Not impossible. But very difficult.
Thanks! I posted a recording of my one and only radio appearance on soundcloud: on.soundcloud.com/ki9t6sVKBgK5...
I have a video of Joseph performing, as well (this is from 2023): youtu.be/XVNqmvosvVo
And yes--having others perform something I wrote is amazing, and humbling, and thrilling... 🎶 ❤️
Thanks!!
For me it's really amazing. i put my whole soul into my art, because often I feel alone. Then to find that complete strangers share my perspective, and even find release and expression in the music! It's truly a language that I hope to keep expanding, to foster connection, community, and empowerment
In my own (admittedly limited) experience: post-premiere conversations with women often involve tears and topics of validation and connection. Men generally don't have the same reaction, or don't show it. My music is instrumental, these reactions are based purely on abstract representation.
Music I composed is being broadcast on Cincinnati public radio right now and I'm emotional. I'm on the radio! It's a huge first for me
