liked it! i read some king as a teen and this was my favorite of his books; the obvious changes feel for the worse, but it captured the highs and lows of king's tone immaculately, the toilet humor and melodrama. cool cinematography, load-bearing performances... well, idk about hamill

rewatched with a friend. i still have all of the same problems with it, the way it both uses rumi's demon blood in an allegorical mixed race/lgbtq way but ends on 'demons /are/ ontologically evil and even jinu is only redeemed in death,' but i liked the animation more this time!

it's a parody of rocky horror that i mostly had more fun with (chicken killing aside), it's about dracula so there's less transphobia and i like disco more than showtunified glam rock lol. meanders a bit in the middle, james bond vampire plumber aside, but cool melting face makeup at the end

thrilling and funny in equal parts, really fun film! loooved the soundtrack. freeman and dawson's actors give very enjoyable performances, cia guy's funny too. could trim 10-20 minutes in the middle, or give those mins to one/both of the women, but overall a great time
