Scratch that!
@conormckenna
Proud dad, partner to an amazing woman, Montrealer, broadcaster (mornings 6-10 on TSN 690) and long-suffering Habs, 49ers, Manchester United fan. I am also the co-host of the "Man in the Crease" podcast on Heated Rivalry.
Scratch that!
Probably a coincidence, but I wouldnβt say this is an encouraging response by the Habs to their lack of activity of deadline day.
So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and theyβre simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was βyour piano is too close to the fireplace, youβll dry it outβ and if thatβs not the internet in a nutshell I donβt know what is.
Was on the TSN 690 Morning Show with @conormckenna.bsky.social this morning to talk a bit about the Red Wings

I wrote about the time Jesse Jackson brought the movement to Sesame Street. [giftie] www.nytimes.com/2026/02/17/a...
Happy retirement to Robert Woods, who helped define the βSean McVay offenseβ, was totally fearless across the middle, full of great personality, and had the coolest nickname ever. βBobby Treesβ.
Great thread on that incredible halftime show.
Tuning into Olympics coverage takes me from βwho is Hashimoto?β to, three minutes later: βwow, this really isnβt like Hashimoto.β
Why does it feel like everything that was once good and nice is being taken away, piece by piece?
Should have said hasnβt lost a game *in regulation*
Jakub Dobes may not make it look pretty, but he gets run support and hasnβt lost a game since the infamous one vs TB that prompted the Fowler call up on Dec 9th. I realize he hasnβt played a ton since then, but still very impressive.
A lot of bad calls on the Guhle injury by the doctors here on BlueSky lol
Imagine being able to write like that? Staggering.
Every social theory undergirding Trumpism has been broken on the steel of Minnesotan resolve. The multiracial community in Minneapolis was supposed to shatter. It did not. It held until Bovino was forced out of the Twin Cities with his long coat between his legs. The secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that theyβre the ones who are alone. In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesiveβbecause of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority. Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about βWestern civilization,β while armed brutes try to tear it down by force.
Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significantβthough not finalβvictory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
if I'm Joe Brady, I am absolutely trying to hire Sean McDermott as my DC. it's a good scheme fit with the players they have
It's wild that Sam Montembeault's excellent play cost the Canadiens a shot at drafting the likes of Celebrini, Bedard and countless others in years past. It's even more wild that now that they have a good enough team to win a round or two, he isn't good enough to hang onto a game they have in hand.
It's because he's small, you see. It's not in the rulebook, but it's a thing.
Glass half full perspective: The Canadiens are the youngest team in the NHL, and if they could get a save when they needed one they'd be a lot better than they currently are.
Take that, Jake Sanderson!
I thought the a Hab was gonna have to get murdered to get a PP here.
How about the nights Cole Caufield and Lane Hutson just had against USA GM Bill Guerin's team?
Cole Caufield scores to break a tie for the 13th time this season, more than any other player in the NHL. Money.
What an incredible game. I can't believe this is how it's gonna end after all that.
That 3 on 3 OT was the full Lane Hutson experience.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple fucking rocked. Absolutely adored this movie.
Is that what that is?
Pretty disheartening performance from the Canadiens, taking all factors into account.
