Decided to go go Day 1 of the AMC Best Picture Showcase.
This is also a story about caste! Hindutva apologists are far more likely to buy into this kind of MAGA-adjacent eugenicist horseshit if they are also caste supremacists! (Special fuck you to Gavin Newsom for vetoing the bill that would have banned caste discrimination in California.)
I just started rewatching this

Book cover of "Designing Data-Intensive Applications, 2nd edition". It has a similar wild boar on the cover as the first edition, but it uses O'Reilly's new cover design, and the boar is now slightly colourised.
The second edition of Designing Data-Intensive Applications, by myself and @chris.blue, is finished and sent off to the printers! Ebooks should be available in the next week, and print books in 3β4 weeks. Sigh of relief. π
(BTW, this is a good opportunity to support your favourite local bookshop!)
Async-Await will soon be managed at runtime (with a bunch of performance improvements)

First attempt at beef Wellington. Really thought I got all the moisture out of the mushrooms but ended up with a soggy bottom. I need to practice my crepes. Also mangled it when trying to do the second and third cut. My knifes apparently dull as fuck. happy with the temp and pleased with the taste.
Late to the party but I finally finished watching Breaking Bad. I certainly believe itβs one of the all time great shows. I guess Iβll have to get to The Sopranos, The Wire, and maybe Game of Thrones in 2026
