Also true, however these sorts of contravertial rule changes are the kind that you put out specific, clear, and unambiguous guidance on with justification rather than hiding them in 'Here are the rules kthxbye' posts.
It's part of my job too - but writing for SMEs and writing for lay people are totally different.
Given they've also banned carrying flags in the parade, at a very queer convention, in this political climate says to me they aren't shy about from shitting on people from a very great height.
I take it you've been told this specifically by AC brass? Verbiage means very little to lay-people.
Given the half-arsed apology at the end of the rules, I along with every other furry gifted with eyes and reason will interpret this as 'no poodling in the parade' until AC come out and clarify.
Note, fullsuits are specifically pointed out as optional within the rules. 'No human skin' is not pointed out as optional. How is that to be interpreted other than 'no human skin' being very much NOT optional?
If not, why try and defend something you know nothing about other than simply to be contrarian? Plenty of clown make-up to go around.
If so, the rules as written are needlessly vague, especially for such a hot topic. Why would 'fullsuits encouraged' (which I never mentioned) be specifically qualified as a request not a requirement, but 'no human skin' not receive the same clarification if they're both requests not requirements?
