Sister account of @mnkybridgecider.bsky.social Plan is to share the love of the fantastic famous best bittersweet cider apple of them all Yarlington Mill. Each week I'll be pulling a bottle out of the archives n tasting a range of styles through one apple

Vanilla and brown sugar aroma
Very dry mouthfeel, really heavy prominent chewy tannins, think over stewed Yorkshire tea gone cold. There is the usual Yarlington Mill characteristic at the finish however it's grappling for position with a twang of suble acidity. 2/2

Next up is Tricky cider from The Somerset levels.
The vintage is unknown from the label on this bottle but I know it's from pre-2022.
Dark amber colour. Zero bottle condition when opened or poured despite the sediment in the bottle. 1/2

Served at kitchen room temp, cooler than norm room temp.
Slight pop and fizz on opening,
Marmalade arona
Taste - Caramelised sugar, subtle rum barrel aged notes. Baked oranges, woody spicey palate. Interesting to note the bottle condition didn't hang around long after pouring with this bottle
