Look Anthony Albanese and Labor. I know you don’t really give a shit about ethics or morals, or ‘international rules based order’, so let’s put it in terms of pure self interest.
Many Australians aren’t going to vote for a party that drags them into another war the US started.
Got it?

A woman in a red jumper and blue jeans sitting high on a rock

Remember when this abomination decided to walk all over Uluru in some type of white person faux-rage protest and then got stuck

The protest was that First Nations people said walking all over their sacred site was disrespectful

Can you do a piece on the ‘worrying’ sign for Australia that our Antisemitism envoy’s family trust also makes large donations to racist political group Advance? #auspol

Alcoa under investigation over more alleged tree-clearing breaches Just days after being hit with a $55 million fine for unlawfully clearing a jarrah forest, it is revealed US mining giant Alcoa is under investigation for alleged breaches of its agreement with the WA...

And yet, Murray Watt allows Alcoa to continue destroying habitat.

"Alcoa has been granted a temporary "national interest" exemption to continue clearing land for its bauxite operation while an assessment of its "cumulative environmental impact" is completed."

When a young woman is raped by two friends, her small town turns against her A local footy star and his mate are convicted of raping their friend. In the tiny town of Balmoral, where the footy club reigns, the town makes it clear whose story they believe.

Trigger warning

I strongly suggest everyone reads this, not just Australians. As horrific as this is, it will not be an isolated case by any means. As for the people of Balmoral that sided with the rapists, take a good, hard look at yourselves.

The town that turned its back on a rape victim

The dark arts - The Shot The ideology of the Israel lobby in Australia is this - burn it to the ground rather than ever allow an opposing voice.

My latest article in @theshot.net.au on the dark days of McCarthyism coming to Australia to eclipse our cultural landscape under the guise of eradicating communism - whoops sorry - antisemitism

The Adelaide Festival, the arts and the dark arts

Imagine a political ideology so evil, so despised, so racist and murderous, so globally unpopular - but also so entrenched in Western establishment depravity - that your government (with the opposition), would seek to make criticism and protest of it illegal. Imagine that.

Jacinta Price has gone into a spin after the Greens call on parliament to tackle “all” forms of racism — not just antisemitism — snapping: “Today is not a day for Indigenous hatred!”

Which day exactly is allocated for Indigenous hatred? 🙄

Scores of fires, many that are huge, spanning the state of Victoria. Thank you to all the firefighters, you are heroes!

No thanks to politicians that continue to ignore scientists & our evidence-based & urgent warnings about climate change, placing the lives of humans & others species at risk.

Ben Phillips post- ( from X)

“This is beautiful. The smiles! Bondi beach hero Ahmed Al-Ahmed with the doctors looking after him at the hospital in Sydney.

And…

The doctors are *also* Syrian!

Tamer Al-Kahil from Homs.
Anas Natfaji from Aleppo.

*Three* heroes.”

"You can get tangled and confused but still be angry at this. You can be even angrier at the political and media fall-out; an incessant game of ugly politicians with uglier mouths screeching their partisan points into the void in the belief they can use the bodies of the dead to win culture wars."

Have a quiet think. Let it be a guiding lesson for you

Whatever regretful comments you may have made in your life, whatever actions you wish you could take back, let your benchmark for the lowest of the low be using the deaths of 15 people for the relaunch of your political career

This beautiful snow gum lives just on the treeline on Mt Howitt in the VIC high country. It is one of the grand old trees we have mapped as part of our project to identify pockets of forest that must be protected.

When I went out my front door to wait for the supermoon to rise, I spooked a pair of Adelaide rosellas. They flew up into the neighbour's jacaranda tree.
One of those moments when I just happened to have my camera in my hand at the right time 🙂

Thursday birdsday!
This magnificent wedge-tailed eagle was photographed on take-off during recent fieldwork. Australia’s largest bird of prey, the wedgie can grow to a wingspan of up to 2.8m, although the ones found on the Nullarbor tend to be smaller.
