If it wasn't for the text/flags I would've 100% sworn this was taking place in Alaska, a lot of cultural crossover there.

I hope you enjoyed your “learning how to use Apple photos” class at the Apple Store.
peak physical condition!
Is this intended to be a dedicated ball x pit machine?
This was one of my favorites when I was a kid, I haven’t reread them in a very long time. All of those things I totally missed as well, I guess I should’ve been more suspicious about my parents being very on board with this series.
Playing the new Diablo 2 update and listening to Gorillaz while we start a new forever war in the Middle East, as one does in (checks calendar) 2026.
Thankfully this ended so well last time!
things every single republican president of your lifetime has done
- started a war in the middle east
- completely destroyed the economy
This looks neat, will give it a try!
I'm getting 1password free from work (it's a nice benefit if your employer has a subscription), but both bitwarden and protonpass have good free tiers.
Totally read that as assfishing at first and it in no way seems out of place. Heck, bassfishing feels wrong now.
Even though he’s wearing a shirt, could also be secretary of health and human services
I’ll take a look!
Looking at bsky.app/profile/book..., it's similar to goodreads but built on top of atproto, super neat idea!
Robocop rogue city cover art of Robocop standing in front of a city background holding his gun.
Game #8: Robocop: Rogue City
I started this in 2025 but just didn't get around to finishing it until this year. I have some strong nostalgia about Robocop in general which helped but this was better than I expected. Also touched on similar themes around community to the last two games.
Citizen Sleeper 2 cover art featuring a body floating in space with various wires hooked up to and equipment floating nearby. There's also a cat.
Game #7: Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector
The first game was my favorite game of 2022. It's a dark time in the world and I was afraid this game would be a bummer, I couldn't have been more wrong. A great story about the power of community and a fantastic experience from beginning to end.
Caravan sandwitch cover art featuring a young woman sitting on top of a van with a piece of equipment on top. In the background is a desert like landscape with some ruins and a cyclone like storm.
Game #6: Caravan Sandwitch
I played this on Steam, it's a cozy risk free exploration and discovery game in a future/sci-fi setting. The story talks about the strength of community and people sticking together through bad situations. Feels like just about as long as it needs to be.
“nothing is real until it hurts me” slogan replaces “don’t tread on me” slogan on a Gadseden flag
how we got here
I do sometimes see these at Winco out in Washington state and get them every time
I’ve been using a cheap used OG Rog Ally (z1 extreme version) and it’s worked wonderfully for this (minus the streaming.
If you don’t care about it being a handheld form factor there’s a ton of relatively inexpensive Mac mini sized AMD machines that perform well too.
Wild to see the NRA response basically being “please tread on us more”
Microsoft has confirmed it will hand over BitLocker encryption recovery keys to the FBI. You definitely should not be accepting Microsoft’s default of storing BitLocker keys in the cloud when signing into Windows with an MS account www.theverge.com/news/867244/...
I would not mind if there was no Jared Leto, but as skeletor maybe less objectionable
lol I assume this is a contractually required blog post to unlock more azure credits
Adios video game cover with a man in a suit eating a meal with a fork
Game #5 was another backlog quickie, Adios
I feel like must have been a free game from a bundle or promotion in the past but this is a story about a farmer who decides to stop disposing of bodies for the mob. Another walking simulator style game with a pretty light story.
South of the circle video game cover art featuring two people embracing in front of a snowy mountainous scene. A few other characters appear in the foreground looking off in the distance
Game #4: South of the Circle
This is a walking simulator/adventure style game that I picked up long ago and had been sitting in my backlog of games. Finally picked it up and played through and it was a solid story although felt pretty minimal as a game in terms of what my decisions did.
My favorite is the bonne maman cherry preserves, it feels almost decadent bonnemaman.us/products/che...
I have yet to find really good gluten free croutons, may need to move to home production.
My hot take for the day: if you can’t complete your transaction and get out in 2ish minutes you do not belong in the drive thru lane in the pharmacy.
lol I picked a bad time to replace my front door lock although even just getting home key with nfc is a heck of an upgrade
Traditional final fantasy 1 cover art with a warrior in armor holding a sword with a dragon in the background.
Game #3: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster
Have definitely beaten this game in various forms before but was happy to see this pop up on game pass and thinking about picking up the full collection. Tons of quality of life improvements over the NES version, this was a fun throwback.
