And all of this is coming after Kiwami 3 lol
FWIW I do think there's value in reviewing what's there now as like an early review or "review-in-progress" kind of thing, but what is happening here is not a case of a company being shady and wanting to hide negative reviews during the launch window
People taking this as "lol the game wasn't ready" instead of Bungie knowing they have endgame stuff that they consider an integral part of the game coming in a couple weeks are completely missing the point and getting mad over nothing
There's a number of things I wasn't happy to leave off this list (Call of Duty Black Ops 1, Resident Evil 4, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, etc.), but here's 9 games that are Very Important to me

this sucks. no patience for the people laughing at it, calling it concord 2.0, etc. if 2 million people pick up a game, and you have to shutter it and lay everyone off, it doesn't matter if the game is good or bad. it's a symptom of a much bigger and deeper problem.
A meme of a summoning circle with the words "Catastrophic Gen Ai Bubble Collapse" in the center.
One day this stupid thing will work.
Abelard, please announce my participation as a gamer of the night
You know i love my boy, but he is a cop (a bad one, at that)
I still really like it solo because there's a tension to solo play that isnt really present in a group, but yeah it's very clear the game was designed with groups in mind and solos was added because the community wanted it (as Bungie has stated)
Yeah I did run into trouble solo with one like the scenario you described (it might even be the same one, finding pipes or something in Maintenance on the second map), but for me the intensity of being solo and the goal suddenly shifting to "steal whatever i can and get out alive" was still engaging
I'm very much a "find your own fun" sicko when it comes to games though
(I think that's fun because I like shifting to a more self-directed goal if my original is unattainable)
I'm really liking the different pace of solo play. It's much more tense and almost horror-adjacent
This is not a productive thought but I would like to build hell and put all these fucking freaks inside it.
Absolutely unconscionable. The United States and Israel are evil and no justice is too harsh for their leaders
Time to get a few more HDDs first and- oh wait FUCK

Happy 15th Anniversary to the Nintendo 3DS! (Ohhhhh my god no no no no no no 15 years what the hell)
Here are 4 of my favourite games for the system! I love this little handheld so much
Yeah like...The main thing I was thinking while reading it was just...Why? Why does it matter? That should be the core of any critical argument, and I just don't think it's present here. Why does making this connection matter outside of saying "this connection exists?"
Yeah like, I have my misgivings about the actual execution of the point being made, but I don't really get the people who think there's not an actual connection to be made there
Thereβs a potentially very interesting and very cursed discussion to be had about why and when itβs appropriate to reference real-world tragedies and atrocities in video games and related media. Gio is a great writer I respect a lot, and I think itβs reductive to say βlol itβs just Resident Evil.β β¬οΈ
Having read the actual review, I don't disagree with the connection they make. But the way they go about making that connection...leaves a bit to be desired π¬
Every once in a while, someone like this shows up and all I can think is how incredibly improved their life would probably be if they threw their phone in a river. Her existence seems miserable
Lex it's Thursday
I'm always saying this about the Wii U
Shades of Ubusoft's Division 2 email about "we'll show you a REAL government shutdown" that they had to apologize for lol
All they had to do was make the PS4-2 while Microsoft was too busy smashing themselves in the dick with a hammer but nooooooo...
"What're you gonna do? Use some of that...BOXING you been doing" does make me fly into a rage, yeah
