I agree with you on a lot of this. The information landscape is entirely different from the '50s, so we have to change how we educate people.
Do you think everyone has the same access to health information? the rate of good health literacy is like 12% in the US. i'm not talking about fervent trump antivax, i'm talking about people who don't have the resources they need.
It's not about coddling antivax people. It's about educating people who don't have good information. With some effort and compassion and addressing their fears, you can probably get a parent to vaccinate
