The art direction is probably the best thing about the game. Is not always good, but has some characters and areas that really stand out.

It's an impressive effort for a small team, but kinda sucks... combat is terrible and the missions are just giant chains of fetch quests where you spend most of the time just walking around giant empty areas :/
Friday night, janky RPG time

My highest of recommends for this game -- and a little drawing inspired by it! β€οΈβπ₯

Jan's art for KROMLECH is incredibly cool and inspiring, and this team could use some eyes on the game during its early access π
The US doesn't give a damn about international law, the point about it being illegal was always about US congress approval.
This is why it's bizarre to see people calling it "illegal war" as if that's their main issue with a goddamn war... It's now legal, fascists in suits decide what's legal.
Clever little budget-priced CPRG just left early access with a good launch discount, too.
A weird swampy fantasy setting, semi-real-time combat ala Vagrant Story and a cool claymation-esque art style. Also hugely undersold so far.
Go check it out, RPG folks.
I played 15 min and was like "nope"

Just read this article on the US & Israeli strikes on a school in Minab, Iran.
- At least 168 killed, including many girls aged 7-12.
- The school was bombed THREE times, not once.
- There were claims this was on an IRGC military base, but the base was closed 15 years ago.
This is a war crime.

That's not what the video says, at all.
She said the game came out at the start of Trump's 2nd term, and that the fact that it won so many awards over all the other great (and far more progressive) games can be read as part of the ongoing right-wing cultural shift / zeitgeist that Trump symbolizes.
Since the topic is RPGs & cultural lenses, I'll repeat that Xuan-Yuan Sword 3 is a must-play in this sense store.steampowered.com/app/1638230/...
Set in the 8th century, you flee religious fanatics in Europe to pursue knowledge along the Silk Road. A wild contrast to the usual Europe-centric views

I wish I could translate the poetry of "Estragos Fudidos da America".
Also, in both Portuguese & Spanish we have "estadunidense", which is the official demonym for US citizens in several countries
"USian" is a way to translate that in English. If you think that's latinos being offensive, you're vastly underestimating what we actually say when we want to attack the US
This bit in the From Russia With Love game made me laugh out loud. You've got a fairly grounded, low key fight based on the one in the movie, then the most video game looking fucker of all time slides into frame.
Just at the quotes & replies to the video here, many from people who haven't even watched it yet...
It's weird to watch a media criticism video and read it as the new canonical truth or as someone trying to stop you from enjoying things. It's a reading through their lenses.
It doesn't matter how good/bad the criticism is, you shouldn't act like an empty container passively waiting to be filled.
We talk so much about media literacy, but feels like people forget it's not a standardized exam - it's a conversation - with the piece and the community.
A video saying E33 is a right-wing JRPG doesn't mean that's now the only truth, you should be ashamed for not noticing & erase it from the world.
Dude, you wrote like 250 pages on Super Mario Bros... Not cool to be accusing people of "too much free time" for talking about what they care.
