A beautiful Spoonbill at Slimbridge today. As typical of Spoonbills it would wake for 5 seconds, look around then fall back asleep. Love that crest!
A few more of the Black Redstarts in Seaton a few days ago. Must have been at least 3 around the gardens and always great to see and watch. #ukbirding
Also in the same gardens as the Whitethroats in Seaton were a few Black Redstarts. Nice to see them in trees for a change with this one I think either feeding on the Cordyline seeds or the insects betweenβ¦. #ukbirding #devonbirding

Canβt beat Norfolk for seeing running, skipping, chasing Hares. Such beautiful, magical animals and an absolute joy to watch.
Watching Barn Owls in Norfolk β¦ so uplifting to simply observe a pair hunt over a weedy field, swoop and dive and fly past like little ghosts. βΊοΈ #ukbirding
No visit to Norfolk is complete without seeing a Barn Owl. We saw a few throughout the week but as we were leaving the county early on Saturday morning I spotted 2 in a field. Just had to stop for a better view β¦. #ukbirding
One of the two Snow Buntings that we found on Titchwell beach last Friday. Gorgeous little birds! #ukbirding

Right place right time, pulled up to park along the esplanade in Sherringham and there it was the Eastern Black Redstart. What a stunner! Have had fingers crossed π€ for weeks hoping it would stay for our Norfolk visit π

A very pleasant couple of hours in a Somerset wood, just watching a host of birds busily feeding on a cold but sunny morning. #somersetbirding #ukbirding
A sight not often seen in Somerset, a flock of White fronted Geese over Ham Wall this morning. Lovely to hear their βchatteringβ call during the fly by. #somersetbirding
Burnham beach this morning and we spent an hour watching the Kentish Plover in beautiful sunshine. As the tide came in so the Plovers gradually came closer until they all upped and flew towards Stert Island. Nice to see a Sanderling as well. #somersetbirding #ukbirding
As the sunlight hit the woodland floor a Goldcrest started feeding busily amongst the leaf litter β¦.
Always pays to βlook up!β - a nice group of Redpoll feeding on the Alder at RSPB Ham Wall. #somersetbirding #ukbirding
Our local nature reserve at Uphill, Weston-S-Mare and a great opportunity to see a Red-breasted Merganser at close range. It seems happy feeding and diving on a small βboating lakeβ, nice to get a chance to see all those feather details. #avonbirding #ukbirding
