This account is legitimate, but is not currently used due to incompatibility with the ActivityPub spec and the lack of an OpenVibe x86 client (please be patient with them!). For breaking news coverage, please turn to Threads.NET.
Windows 11 does still hold a supermajority with the revised/corrected December data, albeit just a 66.6% one.
Update: Instances of faulty data were seen in a few places in the December 2025 edition of the Steam Hardware Survey, including an error where DX8 GPUs had a -32.39% figure. These have been resolved, and one consequence of this is that Windows 7 is back on the December 2025 SHS.
Additionally, Windows 11 has finally attained a >67% supermajority two months after Microsoft pulled the plug on the Windows 10 RTM and Vibranium 5, rocketing up to 70.83% in the December 2025 SHS.
BREAKING: Windows 7 has fallen off of the December 2025 edition of the Steam Hardware Survey. It had been on the SHS ever since its build 7000 public beta appearance with the March 2009 edition of the Steam Hardware Survey. store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey
Also remember, VGA and HDMI pre-1.3 will not work for high refresh rates. Use a DVI or a DisplayPort cable. If your GPU supports it and your monitor does, you can also use HDMI 2.0 or newer in some cases. When in doubt, or for high-res, HDR, and/or >180Hz monitors, use DisplayPort.
Annual obligatory Christmas reminder: did Santa bring you a high refresh rate monitor under your Christmas tree? Make sure to set it to its refresh rate in Windows to feel the difference it makes.
Merry Christmas!
