This is a lesson that more lawyers should learn, and embody, and live on a daily basis. It’s heartbreaking when you watch a junior lawyer learning to be a jerk from a senior lawyer who is a jerk.

Apropos of nothing in particular (ahem), here’s some info about what an FBI 302 is.

May I never do anything such that JCO destroys me in a single perfect phrase.
Chocolate cake with caramel dripping down the side.
It’s a tough day in the world, and/but I made a chocolate hazelnut and salted caramel cake for a dinner party.
If this wasn’t in the Chemerinsky Fed Courts hornbook then I didn’t learn/understand it.
<sorry> 🥲
I clerked for Niemeyer — definitely conservative but it wasn’t as big of a deal at that point. He was not viewed as the *most* conservative voice (hello Judge Luttig). Although it was a great experience, I mostly learned that no, I’m not cut out for appellate work. 😀
The <DC> kids are alright.
I clerked on that circuit 2001-2002 and he was so conservative. I wasn’t a fan …but now, just wow. I know some will take the view that “he helped create this moment,” but I’m proud to see him speaking up because of a lot of folks (ahem George Bush ahem) are not.
Oh I hope so!
Can they please cover the Nats?
More snow in DC. At least Ruby is happy.
Shade Masterclass by Pope Leo.
Can speak from experience that CKK will not be happy about this development.
Amazing. Heartbreaking. Watch to the end.
I got nervous watching my kids play low level travel baseball and I cannot imagine watching your kid compete for an Olympic medal.
Agreed! And I’m here for All The Colors!
Superior Court often contains so much sadness and frustration and anger so it’s just lovely when you see an adorable couple smiling as they go to get married. And everyone else smiles too.
I mean, this framing makes me like the Dems more so….
I honestly cannot express my pride in DDC judges. Across the spectrum (Obama appointees to Trump appointees), they are issuing strong rule of law decisions. I don’t know if they have time to eat/sleep but our judges are holding back the tide of authoritarianism, one well reasoned opinion at a time.
DC Union Station has spotty enforcement of “show your ticket” before getting on (a harried Amtrak employee stationed at the door to the tracks to glance at your phone sometimes), but after ~100 trips, I’ve never had to show ID.
A record setting administration in so many ways.
we need to talk about that Ring Super Bowl ad
Once again, DC grand juries FTW.
Not a fan of their views but we are used to protests from all sides in DC. But when you come to my city to spread preventable disease and possibly death? GTFO.
Literally bringing joy to leadership and making NYC a better place.
I clerked on the 4th Circuit and yes can confirm. It’s amazing to see him speaking out and to agree with him.
F$@K YOU JEFF BEZOS.
