Lovely to have the Bishop of Huron visiting his parish church of St. John the Evangelist this morning. The youth proclaimed the Gospel in dramatic form and it was fabulous.
Best line is Josephβs : βthere has been a lot of drama, Mary!β

I celebrated the Eucharist at a wonderfulβif longβfuneral service for organ builder Gabriel Kney. He chose all the music (lots of lovely Bach) and he knew just how it would sound because he built our tracker organ at St. John the Evangelist, London. Requiescat in pace, Gabriel.
I, like most Canadians, would rather stick needles in my eyes than ever become American π¨π¦π (with apologies to my American friends)
together as a nation, it is this deranged demagogic idiocy. I am remembering the vibe around the 1995 referendum. While I am not totally confident that the same thing would happen today wrt Quebec succession, it absolutely would in the case of an American annexation threat 2/3
Hereβs the thing. Canada will never become part of the US. Ever. Constitutionally and politically it would be hugely difficult. Socially and culturally it would be impossible. Canadian identity is essentially predicated on not being American. If there is anything that can bring Canadians 1/3
Letβs assume that Athanasius was there too

This ordo corresponds to the #AnglicanBreviary in almost every respect. So pleased that my copy arrived today, delayed by the Canada Post strike, but all ready to begin the new calendar year tomorrow

I have just obtained a beautiful BCP altar missal that is the *entire* 1962 BCP and not the abbreviated, Holy Communion-only version that I have seen and used heretofore. Anyone know anything about it? Itβs a Cambridge University Press printing from 1962.
New Anglican chant just dropped

I think that this is very insightful about the CWOB folks. Thanks!
I hope that this will not be the case. I think that overall consensus can change, perhaps by diocese, while still leaving a place for those who faithfully hold a different theological view. I support that 100% & am committed to making it work. (Of course that makes me unpopular with everyone)
