For no particular reason, this feels like a good night to declare my love for small-studio animation and independent animation. There's a lot of good stuff out there that's worth watching. So many voices to hear from.

More recent experience has taught me that Flash/Animate's other big advantage is how you can combine tweens, rigs, and frame-by-frame animation in the same scene, sometimes on the same layer. If anyone can pull that off, I'll be over the moon.

For literal decades, I've been saying that Flash/Animate's biggest advantage is the interface and if someone could copy it, that would be a game changer.
It took longer than I thought, but maybe we're finally getting there.

This week, I successfully replaced the starter on my mini fridge so it runs consistently. Now if any kids try to prank call me I'll be all set.

I am intrigued...

Last weekend, one of my nephews gave me the oddest compliment; "You look so young, if you were in a horror movie, you could be the girl who gets killed in the beginning before the part with the main characters starts."

I don't know the original recipes, but it's safe to assume that flavor was very low on Kellogg's list of priorities.

I just noticed that the article I linked doesn't mention cereal specifically, but I saw once a history documentary that explained how Kellogg cereal was first developed for the sanitarium under the theory that better food would help cure humans of their "vices."
