Tawny owl
Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.
After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵
Well, honestly, I can't see what all the fuss is about. I, for one, can't wait to use my Brit Card to access the khazi, secure in the knowledge that only certified Brits of the correct gender will hear the blast of Rule Britannia that plays as I flush, having wiped my arse on union jack bog roll.
My 11 day old is completely ambivalent to "baby friendly" songs and lullabies, but has finally relaxed and nodded off to Cradle of Filth on my phone's random playlist.
"Sleep when the baby sleeps!" Ah yes, and when will that be? 💀
