A tall Oak tree with four Bald Eagles. The tree has grown on a sandbar in the WI River.
There is a sandbar in the WI River with a huge old Oak tree where the Bald Eagles like to hang out. It's leaning quite a bit, so I don't know how many more years it has. The sand isn't the greatest base, but it grew very tall in the middle if the river.

The picture is of an energy dam on the Wisconsin River. Took a nice drive in very warm 50F weather today. More sun than was forecast and it was very pleasant. Taliesin, the Frank Lloyd Wright famous estate was one destination today. It's a huge home on a lovely hill near the Wisconsin River. It was not open for tours today, but perhaps another day. It has it's own little waterfall/spillway on one side of the driveway. I saw at least 10 red-tailed hawks today. Pics of only a few. The rest were too high up or flushed. Saw many crows in trees near roadsides. Went a state natural area to find the location. The entrances were very icy and soupy, but I at least got to know where it is now. I saw a tree sparrow there. On the way there, I saw a murder of crows landing in a farm field to eat. Maybe 50 crows. Neat to see. Saw a pair of sharpies right above me driving down the road. (or coops) I saw two beautiful bald eagles perched beautifully in a tree near the shore in the Wisconsin River. I turned back for a pic and they were gone. Picture perfect photo op, but no. I saw what looked like a bank swallow near the river. As I neared home, I saw another red-tailed hawk and got some decent pics. It was a beautiful and relaxing day. On days when we still have very few birds, I like to take a ride to find other nature areas that I have not yet visited. However, our local ebird is lit up today with many species, so hopefully the birds will be back soon!
Went for a drive west today in 50F weather. I think every red-tailed hawk and their brother was out this afternoon. My vehicle pulled over many times, but only a few pics. (will post when I can)
Posting a pic of the dam, because DAMN it was nice out today.
Details of my drive are in ALT text.

A murder of Crows flew over my vehicle last weekend and stopped in a field for a buffet lunch. There were about 50 spread across the field.
