There go the midterms.
There go the midterms.
U.S. forces likely bombed an Iranian elementary school on Feb. 28 during an operation targeting a nearby military base, a New York Times analysis suggests. It is the deadliest known episode of civilian casualties since the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran โ and no side has yet taken responsibility.
On the one hand, a clearly deranged lunatic in the White House starting a dangerous illegal war on Iran with already-serious repercussions for the region and world...
Or having a pop at Keir Starmer.
You just knew which side the Right would come down on.
Mate, it was 1066. Move on.
More like Drizzle today! ๐
Unfortunately, Yes. He put his hat in the ring (Very late) as the Reform candidate for the WECA mayor. Was never a serious bid but he still came second. Apathy is definately a friend to the far right.
May as well have offered it to Arron Banks. He lives a bit closer. Just over the Severn Bridge.
Oh, they have read it alright. Unlike Lewis, they just aren't allowed to publish or report on it. It's why he left Newsnight.
@mrjamesob.bsky.social The Mandelson appointment explained.
Just waiting for good old Bojo to join now, and the transformation to the Conservatives 2.0 will be complete. Not sure where this will leave the actual Conservative Party. Or Farage when they bin him off for Johnson.
Never thought this scene from Alex Garland's excellent movie Civil War would actually become real. American's, you are here. It is happening now.
@mrjamesob.bsky.social your last caller touched on it with the headlines Trump generates. It keeps them in work. Politics before Trump, and indeed Brexit, was boring. You have said yourself the days of LBC talking about potholes, and cycle lanes are long gone.
Well fuck me backwards what a sight. I can't believe that was only an hour and fifteen. It felt like seven years. I hope you all enjoyed watching Robert Jenrick's soul leave his decaying fetid fucking human body.
Praying that the walking coronary is just one fag away from a trip to hell.
I will happily buy you many drinks if this prediction comes true, as it is enough to sustain me on a day where my utter loathing for all these pisstaking wankers has breached its previous banks.
I am very sorry to hear that. Of course it would be foolish to say that violence does not exist in our cities, of course it does. But the narrative that London is more dangerous because of 'foreigners' or black and brown people is for the birds. The majority white shires of England are worse by far.
Same. Lived in a relatively affluent town on the edge of the Cotswolds. Probably a combination of various things, mainly boredom and the 90's/00's drinking culture. But I have never experinenced anything like the anarchy of a Friday and Saturday night of that town centre in the City.
The unsafest place i have ever lived was the small town i grew up in at pub kicking out time.
British news today is 30% "so, the world's most powerful nation has turned rogue internationally and a dictatorship domestically" and 70% "ANYWHOOO, innit cold? here is footage of a gritter".
Black people five years ago: you know, they can kill anyone they want to out there
Everybody today: hot damn, did you know they can kill anyone they want to out there?
@mrjamesob.bsky.social I hope that Uber Eats driver is getting an extra xmas tip James.
I can recommend their kitchen taps. Quality. Solid and look great. Way better than the expensive Franke tap we replaced, and for less than half the cost.
โDid Nathan Gill ever say anything you disagree with in return for his bribes from a Kremlin stooge?โ
โDid you, in your roles as his boss, friend, mentor & party leader, ever question his full-throated support for an enemy of the UK and if not, why not?โ
You can have those for nothing, lads.
How long before it replaces the stars and stripes above the White House?
I can't wait for nothing to happen
Merry Christmas!
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.
Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?
