βMy greatest strength is building ballrooms.β
Keith Wilson sucks. His main priority is just making the unhoused invisible to everyone so they think the problem is solved. Hisserich seemed to have real vision for systemic change, so of course sheβs out.
he's knocking down the literal white house and illegally murdering people by dropping bombs on international boats and the government has been shut down for weeks and it's just like....yep
At least one very obviously, very biased toward Trump judge. Not even hiding it.
A photo of someone outside the Portland ICE facility wearing a duck costume holding a sign that reads βPortland will outlive himβ
Duck you, Trump.
Currently a 25-minute wait for brunch in the crime-ridden hellhole of Portland.
That was my high school, in the 90s. Iβm doubtful that shooting has any influence on this. Itβs a very white working class Trumpy kind of place, at least for about half the population.
In all the sunny West Coast Vaccine Alliance news last week, a lot less national reporting has covered the fact that Oregon's Board of Pharmacy has completely screwed us. We are worse off, in some respects, than Oklahoma or Indiana.
Ok, hereβs how it went for me: had an appt at Fred Meyer, but when I arrived they said they canβt take my insurance (Cigna). They sent me to a Walmart across the street, which didnβt have covid vax in stock. Went to a Walgreens and finally, success! So definitely check your insurance w/ the pharmacy
CVS confirmed cancelled, so Vancouver-bound tomorrow! Thank you for sharing!
Guess I will call ahead before bothering to go - thanks for the heads up!
Vancouver Fred Meyer worked? I have an appt with CVS in Portland tomorrow but am anticipating it getting canceledβ¦
Awesome, thank you! I was wondering if weβd be able to make appts or if weβd have to get a fβing prescription or something
A friend of mine, whose kids have Latin America heritage, can't let them walk to school by themselves.
Even if they are fine, their memories of growing up, as Americans in America, will include this loss of autonomy and freedom.
hear, hear!
I know we don't feel like there's much to celebrate this July 4th. It's been a rough several years.
So I want to talk about how we're making history right now.
Sick fucks.
Public approval is so high, thatβs why ~5m people spent their Saturday in the streets.
An authoritarian regime disappears people daily, brutalizes people with open glee, fills the streets with armed goons, and people covering this have the fucking audacity to look at protesters and say, βI hope no one lights a match here.β
Itβs set up to blame people getting killed. Fuck. This.
Itβs fucking infuriating that the authoritarian regime has troops in the streets and all you hear in coverage is concern about βanarchists and extremists.β
The fascists are fucking extreme.
Corporate media is a curse on this society.
Yeah and not to mention thereβs more to therapy than just the literal words that come out of your therapistβs mouth. Like sitting with another human being and being uncomfortable and working through it.
Yikesβ¦ π
Law & Order just did an episode where a kid was using it as their therapist, so you know itβs happening.
Me tooooooo!
To the Servers, The Cooks, The Librarians, Musicians, Artists, The Builders and Doctors, From Teachers to Trades, Dishwashers to Designers, Researchers to Radicals Not CEOs or Profit Not Management or Corporate Not Presidents Nor Kings WE MAKE THE WORLD.
So fucking embarrassing
Thank you!! β€οΈβ
It is not actually in the President's power to unilaterally rescind or modify regulations that were enacted through notice-and-comment.
Maybe FedSoc judges invent a reason for it, but it's not what precedent or the Administrative Procedures Act says. See, e.g., www.arnoldporter.com/en/perspecti...
And on top of that they use two spaces after periods.
The worst people all around.
