If you are a trans adult in the UK, remember to stockpile your HRT, and as always we all end up sharing the odd pack with our friends when they've run out.

PLEASE, under no circumstances try to claim asylum in another country if you are a Brit. It won't work and you will be deported.

Many British people with trans children will no doubt now be looking at leaving the UK.
Trans Rescue are preparing a comprehensive guide, meanwhile we have our "office hours" online call kn Saturday evenings.

If it becomes difficult if not impossible to get medication on the NHS, it doesnβt stop trans people being trans. It just means they will find other ways of acquiring it. The reason we fought for transition-related healthcare on the NHS was safety. Government including Starmer knows this.
Keep the receipts. We must ensure that no MP who supports this cruelty is ever allowed to escape judgement
I do not care if a future Labour party pretends to be the friend of trans people, they will always be the party who tried to destroy us.
I will NEVER trust them. Ever.
Only ever special when they want something.

Blimey. This lot are doing their bit to rehabilitate George W Bush's reputation as an organiser of well planned wars.

Democracy in the UK π
Ok, what exactly broke? Can you send a picture?
I am wondering whether it might be repairable given a few resources.
Trump stands dressed in a commodore uniform with nonsensical medals all over his chest under a βMission Accomplushed banner. One Trump speech medL reads: βOperation Epstein Distraction Has Begun!β A second speech bubble reads: βAll Epstein News Has Been Obliteratedβ.
I come aeay yet more feeling tbat the Trump administration really aren't the sharpest tools im the box. Even George W Bush could dredge up a legal justification.
So Iran's spanner in the works won't cause much in the way of concrete action, but it will make other countries much more wary of overt support.
What we'll see then is delay, perhaps a few expressions of concern, and a lot of shuffling of feet. And probably an even greater reluctance from other countries to get involved, as if the memory of Iraq, and Trump's unpopularity, wasn't enough.
3rd party countries such as those in the EU can't pretend they set great store by the war crimes convention while ignoring a clear violation, but they equally don't want to have to impose its consequences, sanctions, isolation etc, on the US and Israel, at the behest of international pariah Iran.
The Iranians are throwing a spanner in the works by standing up in the UN and calling it a war crime. Because arguably it is, because no formal justification has been forthcoming.
Of course, this makes no difference on the grou d, but it does cause an awkward political and diplomatic situation.
It doesn't matter how dodgy Iran is or isn't, or what they did against protesters, the Americans and Israelis haven't provided that formal justification. Of course they and other countries are used to doing this and they mostly get away with it.
Iran denouncing the US/Israeli war as a war crime is interesting. (Thread)
I don't know the exact legal term but one of the definitions iinvolves starting a war without justification. It's why Blair had to make up the dodgy dossier for Iraq, to manufacture a reason.
This is what Iran is claiming.
Interesting device.
Reform is arguing that the dangerous extreme Muslims forced their wives and daughters to....vote for.....a white working class woman who believes in trans rights. Sounds great to me, my crying chums.
Go on then, what did you buy?
Damn, the Good Law Project have some really jnteresting media adjacent jobs!
Not suitable for me, sadly, but seriously good opportunity for the right people.

i really can not emphasize enough that the most materially impactful thing you can do for trans people right now is hire them.
Most people just don't know or don't care about us
People laughed at me when I said I didn't want a GRC because I'd go on a secret government list of trans people.
Just an observation on publishers targeting queer communities.
If you don't put any effort into book promotion, you aren't a very good publisher.
Mainstream reporters are desperate not to cover what's happening to trans ppl in the US.
The narrative was activists got a little too uppity and some mild hand smacking was needed to put them in their place.
The reality of a genocidal campaign of terror against a vulnerable 1% makes them look bad.
