βOk so the basic premise of this one is that thereβs a coyote and a roadrunner and the coyoteβs efforts to catch the roadrunner become ever more elaborate and comical but β and this is the crucial bit β he never catches the roadrunner. Here are some of the common tropes usedβ¦β

Critics will argue that a boycott is futile against a giant like OpenAI but the "QuitGPT" organizers have identified a real weakness. OpenAI is a financial paradox. It is the most hyped company in the world but it is bleeding cash.
Alt text description: A black square image with a red border. At the top, white text on a red background reads: "ChatGPTβs president is Trump's biggest donor." Below this, there is a white OpenAI logo inside a red circle with a diagonal red line crossing it, symbolizing prohibition. Underneath, large text says "QuitGPT" with "GPT" in red and "Quit" in white. Below that, white text reads: "It's time to boycott." At the bottom, a red rectangle with white text says "JOIN NOW" followed by white text "at QUITGPT.ORG".
The president of ChatGPT is the largest Trump donor π°

BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.
This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.
So classic!
Dan, are you on social media?

After a trial over the last few years, Ireland has launched a permanent scheme giving a basic income of β¬325 a week for artists.
2,000 will be eligible, and successful recipients will be chosen at random from applicants, who must be "professional artists" (definition tbc).
Splendid ditty!

Photo of the windows next to my desk of the a framed Kudelka rusted on bingo tea towel and print of his Tassie devil.
Jon Kudelka was not just the creator of the best tea towel in Australian history, and a great cartoonist and artists, but he was a superb friend, incredible husband and dad.
Goddamn I will miss him
DM from Kudelka with a draft of his cartoon of Dutton looking like Uluru with eh line "They're still looking for it" "His statement?" "His heart" Below has his question "Is this awful?"
Been going back through my many Twitter DMs with Jon Kudelka. He used to send me draft cartoons, generally expressing dismay that they were any good despite their absolute brilliance

A post on threads from user stephens_bens. It reads 'I'll always remember an interview with Steve Buscemi on Bulleye, Jesse Thorn asked him "As an actor with many decades of varied and outstanding roles across your career, does it ever bother you that one of the things you will most be remembered for is a 3-second gif in which you're wearing a backwards baseball cap and carrying a skateboard?" And without missing a beat, Buscemi replied "I'm carrying *two* skateboards." And you know what? He is.' Below that is a screen cap of Buscemi's famous "fellow kids" moment.
I never noticed this either.
The billionaire media is laying off great tech journalists in crazy quantities this year - replacing them with AI and sycophants. This would be a great time to throw some dollars, euros, pounds, or dollarydoos to @404media.co, @propublica.org or another independent outlet.

TEXT: I spent a couple hours last night, and a couple more today, reviewing countless photos from the massive protests around the country on Friday. Few people grasp the size, spread, and significance of these protests led by high school and college students. Legacy media can't adequately cover these events (even if they wanted to) so I'm going to give it a shot. To see spontaneous and organic protests organized by young people is to behold collective joy. I've reviewed thousands of images and videos. You don't see a single student scrolling their phone. They are living in the present and exuberant. They link arms, hug, and support each other.
Good morning... Not sure if folks can read the full post by Mark linked here since it's on FedBook but if you can, it's worth it to kick off a new week: www.facebook.com/mark.provost...
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. Itβs dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
