I bought some FB paper for the first time. I've been printing at a community darkroom for a few months on RC paper and I'm excited to print on fiber! Also picked up some spotting sheets for retouching the photos. Planning to print the ones below.

Any good places to spot from State College? Was thinking Black Mo Lake but wondering if even Toftrees will be good
enough.
Any interest in infectious disease ecology? I work on understanding how close we are to eliminating communicable, vaccine-preventable diseases in humans and livestock. My work touches public health, ag, and uses observational data and theory/models to look at FMD in livestock and measles in humans.

Really pleased to be able to share this work by @deepit.bsky.social on predicting subnational measles vaccination coverage in sub-Saharan Africa. He shows that a statistical model based on country-level surveillance data can generate estimates almost as good as the DHS-survey gold standard 🧵 /1
I fucking love gadgets. I like new things. I set up a gadget savings account ten years ago to restrict myself on gadget purchases because I am a gadget loving freak.
Pretty amazing for the tech industry to make someone like me into a tech dethusiast in a matter of five years.
He was so eager for it, did it too soon
When I use Google now I just automatically scroll past the AI summaries like they’re banner ads
Oat milk is a tough one! I had to use amylase enzymes to reduce the goopiness and improve the texture. After doing it once (and getting pretty good results) I'm back to buying it in stores.
Looking forward to applying for this program!

Medicaid financed the cost of 34% of births in Pennsylvania in 2022, according to KFF. If you live in PA, call McCormick and ask him what he thinks about slashing that program
University of Toronto DLSPH. If you want to do research-oriented or community-oriented work, it's all possible due to the size of Toronto.
That’s why it’s so absurd when people say “we can’t fight Trump, he thrives on conflict.” Bullies like Trump do not thrive on genuine conflict with real stakes. They thrive on fake conflict they can win and control. They fear real conflict immensely. Conflict is how you beat them. They are cowards.
A joke about Cabinet appointees and their disqualifying traits that substitutes “a junkie” for RFK Jr.
Really wild how people continue to act like RFK Jr.’s problem is his remote history of heroin addiction in sustained recovery and not the fact that he’s a sociopathic, science denying, con artist, who wants kids to die so he can make a buck, which has nothing to do with him using heroin decades ago.
Dhume, as the descendant of a Partition refugee, I am saying this with my full chest: you can fuck right off.
me daring the cars to run me over when stepping onto a crosswalk
Thanks! I’ve seen it once in person in central PA, but I’m sure you’ll have better luck finding out in WA
