Wild that Sony bought Bluepoint Games in 2021 AFTER Demon's Souls, and is now shutting them down with zero new games put out since. They canceled a live service-game they were working on earlier this year.
That failed live-service push from Sony continues to have major consequences.

We've finally come full circle. People are longing for less chatter dialogue in their games by referencing ocarina, a game that people consistently complained about Navi being too talkative to the point of it being a meme for 20 odd years.

Pour one out for Y3 Remastered. Yakuza 3 is flawed for sure but there's so much heart in that original game - and the work we were able to do in making Y3R the dad game it always deserved to be is something I will forever be proud of 🥹
(it's also not-so-secretly one of my favorites in the series)
Yakuza 3/Remastered is not without its issues but if you ever plan on playing it solo or on a series run please get this version and not the Remake

Romeo is a Dead Man is messy, oblique and sometimes old fashioned. However, those flaws paired with its constantly shifting art style, its singular weirdness, and the fact that it is just so god damn cool is what makes it deeply human.

Anyways go buy the original Yakuza 3 on GOG so you own it forever before Sega delists it in a few days.
I haven't finished Yakuza Kiwami 3 so I'm hesitant to give a "final opinion" but also I think it says a lot I haven't been feeling the motivation to keep playing.
At its best its a low quality effort remake of a personal favorite from a series that has a high bar for remakes.
