Meh, after Bluepoint’s closure and their continuous refusal to utilize legacy ip, I’ve lost faith in Sony’s competence to put out much of value anymore for me to care. I’d sell my PS5 if it weren’t for its first couple years being decently strong and if Playstation didn’t have a worthwhile legacy.
There are tools released alongside it for people that want to do their own translation without the AI feel-bad stuff, thankfully. But I could very easily see this backlash a vitriol ending with a "taking the ball and going home" sort of situation.

According to the Anna’s Archive write up, if there is any, its minimal. Its only a about 37 percent Spotify’s music, which accounts for the 99-and-some-change percent of listens. The other 2 thirds-ish not archived are either mostly just bad, or AI slop that few listen to.
I mean I love the 2000s Grinch movie and I’M surprised that saying its terrible is somehow controversial. “This movie is horrible” and “I love this movie” are not mutually exclusive statements!
The 10th generation is looking to be interesting. Switch 2 coming out here with heavy hitters in software, then Valve comes out casually introducing complete game changers in the “console” (I know the Steam Machine is a pc. Shush) and VR space. I wonder if Sony can one-up them?

Ya know, every time I go back to it, I’m always surprised at just how well the 3DS holds up as a platform. Resolution and screen brightness aside, it feels like so many 3DS games visually and gameplay-wise can stand up to modern Switch releases at times.

Im not a “retro gamer”, I enjoy 5th and 6th gen video games.
My personal take is that the “retro” line is drawn at 3 generations ago. As the Switch 2 starts the 10th generation of consoles, that means the 7th gen and back would be “retro” in my eyes.
Not very useful though. I prefer referring to generations.
