One thing we don’t do well, societally or interpersonally, is digest harms when there really isn’t anyone to blame.

Being called a n*gger on international television in front of your peers is a harm.

Having a disability that creates that harm through no choice of your own is a harm.

Hi Bluesky - I'm Massachusetts' Attorney General. You might know me from suing President Trump nearly 50 times, beating Uber and Lyft in court, or being the first woman of color elected to statewide office in MA.

I officially left X today - help me find my MA people?

Yeah, if you could experience what #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis or #LongCovid feels like and experience their lack of treatment or cure, you’d never let your kid go anywhere without air filtration.

We’re failing these kids in myriad ways:

The closing of ~80% of #LongCOVID clinics—which provided services that PCPs couldn’t—due to funding cuts, provider burnout and lack of approved treatments, is leaving ‘millions’ of LC patients to suffer without care. @scienceline.org 🧵 scienceline.org/2026/01/long...

Trump's long-awaited healthcare "plan" is a joke He can barely bring himself to pretend he cares.

"Trump’s aides know if the changes they propose were actually turned into law, it'd be a political disaster. Which is how we get what we got: A plan that's not a plan, released so they can say they have a plan but not actually do anything. And that’s just fine with Trump." — @paulwaldman.bsky.social

What a deep and thoughtful review of the Invisible Illness. It’s so helpful to read what people agree & disagree with. Thoughtful and respectful dialogue is so critical to help us all work together to advocate for reimagining what medicine could do.

Text excerpted from email from the People’s CDC.

“As Flu, COVID, and RSV surge around the Us, remember, using multiple layers of protection is the most effective way to avoid an infection. For example, at your gatherings this winter, you could combine ventilation, vaccination requirements, and the required use of N95/KN95/KF94 masks.
Vaccination with the most updated booster is essential because it helps reduce the chances of death and hospitalization. However, vaccination alone will not help avoid infection altogether. COVID can damage the entire body, and even non-severe and asymptomatic cases increase the risk for complications such as Long COVID down the line. Layers of protection are essential to protect you and the ones you love from developing chronic illness and disability.”

I'm not particularly Luther-ish, but man, with our annual winter Covid surge accelerating as we emerge from the holidays, how I want to nail this to the door of every church... and synagogue... and mosque... and hospital... and school... and apartment building....
